Head of Merchandising / Senior Merchandiser / Merchandiser

The Job

  • Handle product enquiries, sourcing, product development, order processing, artwork, packaging, factory audit, testing compliance, production control
  • Research, liaise and identify capable factories from product sourcing to price negotiation
  • Negotiate with suppliers on in-market products to achieve cost savings
  • Research and identify new products
  • Functional deep test on samples received
  • Ensure shipment timeliness
  • Customer service, direct contact with overseas buyers in order to ensure orders are executed according to customers specification, expectations and deadlines
  • Handle special and ad-hoc projects as assigned
  • Working Location is Hung Hom

 

The Person

  • Tertiary education in Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, IT or equivalent is an advantage
  • 3+ (M), 5+ (SM), 10+ (HM) years solid merchandizing experience plus project management experience from start to delivery. For managerial position we expect leadership skills and experience
  • For SDA Team position, experience in Small Domestic Appliances products for EU markets advantage
  • For DIY Team position, experience in fans, heaters, air coolers and portable air conditioners a must
  • Strong experiences in the relevant product field of the team concerned
  • Good knowledge of EU / UL standards and regulations concerning product safety and requirements
  • Strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work independent, creative, organized and with an eye for details
  • Able to handle multi-tasks and work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Experience in overseas buying office will be a definite advantage
  • Fresh graduate in Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, IT or equivalent will be considered as Assistant Merchandiser.

Management Assistant

The Job

  • Conduct research, analyse and interpret information, problems and proposals to ensure objective and complete information is provided to the management for decision making
  • Collaborate with management in reviewing progress toward meeting organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide a bridge for smooth and productive communication between top management and internal departments
  • Lead development, planning, implementation, and analysis of special projects or initiatives that may arise
  • Provide project leadership; prioritize simultaneous or conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Analyse data and create reports to deliver to upper management
  • Draft and disseminate executive communications on behalf of top management team
  • Collaborating with senior manager to handle significant and sensitive organizational matters

 

The Person

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Master’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in supporting C-level executives
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong focus on quality results, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Confident communicator with the ability to lead others
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects forward effectively
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and statistics
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Candidates with pure secretarial background will not be considered. This position requires business acumen, resourceful-mindset and management background to be the business assistant of top management in dealing with day-to-day operations, This is NOT a position for secretarial tasks
